On 6th December 2021, Maria Joao Rodrigues spoke at “Call to Europe – Slovenia”, the first national version of FEPS flagship event “Call to Europe”, in partnership with Društvo Progresiva and FES Zagreb, where she called for a strong progressive role for Slovenia at the heart of European coordination. She stressed the importance of citizens engagement and of a free and pluralistic media environment.
