The PES Congress 2022 took place in Berlin between the 13 to the 15 October, under the motto “With Courage. For Europe.” It was hosted with the support from the governing German SPD. This Congress welcomed Heads of State and Government, European Commissioners, party leaders and other representatives.
During the Congress, FEPS hosted the fringe event ‘The future of the European project: enlargement VS deepening?’. Under the moderation of S&D EMPL coordinator and Chair of the PES Social Europe Network Agnes Jongerius and with the participation of FEPS President Maria João Rodrigues, the panel “Our Europe: Respect for the People” addressed the social and employment challenges.
