The “IPD” at Columbia University refers to the “Initiative for Policy Dialogue”, a research center focused on development policy, led by Nobel laureate Joseph E. Stiglitz.

Initiative for Policy Dialogue (IPD) celebrated its 25th anniversary with a two-day conference on September 12–13, 2025, hosted at Columbia University. The reflection on the past 25 years critically examinined the role of think-tanks in today’s post-neoliberal world. Professor Maria João Rodrigues participated in the opening remarks.
