EU supplies, recession and EP spending on Strasbourg. Maria João Rodrigues, Ricardo Rio and Duarte Mira in a debate in Brussels
The European Commission recently presented the idea of a 72-hour survival kit. This issue was discussed on the Euronews program “Brussels, my Love” in its 5th April edition.
FEPS President Maria João Rodrigues and FEPS International Policy Analyst Beatriz Abellán joined the Portuguese and Spanish editions of the Euronews talk show ‘Brussels, My Love?’ to discuss the proposal of 72-hour survival kits, the potential recession triggered by Donald Trump’s new tariffs and the costs of travelling to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Regarding the first issue, Maria João Rodrigues, president of the Foundation for Progressive European Studies, former MEP and former minister, warns: “We have to be careful with alarmism. There is no reason for alarmism, but there is reason to call on the European population to be prepared for this type of eventuality.”
