On 22nd October 2021, Maria Joao Rodrigues joined the Progressive caucus in the European Parliament (Strasbourg) where she met with leading figures ahead of the Plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe. She called for a new development model with means for all, as the next phase of the European Project. Her book “Our European Future” was main publication to presented there, sharing it with leaders such as the Vice-President of the European Commission, Maros Sefcovic.
