The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), in collaboration with Socialist International, PSOE Andalucía (Spain), Fundación Avanza (Spain), Fundación Pablo Iglesias (Spain), Fondation Jean-Jaurès (France), Olof Palme International Center (Sweden), and Karl-Renner-Institut (Austria), hosted the conference “Financing our Future: Crafting a Progressive Vision for the Future of Financing for Development”, which took place on the occasion of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) – organised by the UN – on 30 June 2025 in Seville.
At this conference a progressive look at global challenges was given and were proposed concrete strategies to not only contribute to a renewed global financial architecture that is just and inclusive but also to boost the implementation of the Pact for the Future and the 2030 Sustainable Agenda.
The event was divided into two main panels:
1) The financing of development in the global south: The global gateway as the European strategic instrument, and;
2) Defending and expanding feminist financing: Strategies for sustainable and inclusive funding
Maria João Rodrigues, FEPS President, was one of the speakers in the first pannel and made the closing remarks.
