Maria João Rodrigues participates in the Social Summit of G20 Brazil

On 11-12 November, the T20 Brasil community convened alongside G20 representatives for the T20 Brasil Summit. Over these two days, Maria João Rodrigues joined leaders of national and international think tanks, members of academia, representatives of the public and private sectors, and civil society to deliberate on the principal policy recommendations developed by the T20 throughout the year for G20 leaders.Maria João Rodrigues was invited as a representative of the foundation to be part of the T20 Brasil’s International Advisory Council. The T20 is a G20 engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centres from G20 members.

The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), of which Maria João Rodrigues is the President, has been working closely with the T20 Brazil organising Committee, coordinators, and other members of the T20 Brazil’s International Advisory Council to advocate for a New Global Deal by presenting proposals within its new book “A New Global Deal: Reforming world governance“.

FEPS also co-ordinated with T20 co-ordinator Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) during the Summit of the Future Action Days discussing the inputs of the T20 Communiqué to G20 leaders.
